    thank you

Dunlap Elementary Weekly Bulletin, November 23

    Hello Dunlap Families,

As we think about the many things for which we are thankful, I want to take this opportunity to share how thankful I am to be a principal at a school where staff care deeply about your children. In the most challenging times, Dunlap Staff remain dedicated and tireless individuals whose love and care for students go well above and beyond what can ever be measured on a test.

During the break (November 23-27), keep your children moving - it is good for the mind, body, and soul. Movement promotes mental clarity, it gives students an opportunity to release stress, helps with balance, and makes for a healthier body overall. One easy way to keep them moving is to get your child an inexpensive pedometer (if they don’t already have one).

Students are really motivated to move while wearing their pedometer...counting each step. They love it! Get one for yourself as well! While we’re at it, let’s get moving and cook up a dish of courage and compassion for all people.

On behalf of the Dunlap staff, we would like to extend our gratitude for your involvement in your child’s education (Family Teas, Parent-Teacher Conferences, and endless support).

We wish all of you and your families a healthy, happy, safe and relaxing break.

Wishing your family peace, love and joy!

Thanksgiving in The Time Of COVID-19

Thanksgiving is almost upon us - Thursday, 26th. I recently read an New York Times article who talks about this topic in a helpful way.

“Serve Up Some Extra Precautions at Your Thanksgiving Table This Year”
    -By Tara Parker-Pope

I hope you take a moment and check it out.

Peace to you and your love ones!

    Family Survey

The Family Teas subcommittee put together a short parent/family survey to try and gather how much families know about programs at Dunlap, gather info about whether or not you would want to be part of a family committee, and to give any comments, suggestions, or questions. Please complete the survey. Your input is needed and appreciated.
