    Tutors and Volunteers

Contact: Mr. El Hayek, Assistant Principal at 206-252-7000

Volunteers: We are always looking for community and parent volunteers to assist during the school day or at our family nights throughout the school year. If you or a family member is interested in volunteering or would like additional information, please talk to your child's teacher or Mr. El Hayek. Some volunteer opportunities available are working in your child's classroom, tutoring students in reading, going on field trips and helping students play games during recess, room parent, library assistant, and much more! All adults must complete background checks before working with students.

Tutors: Touch the life of a child forever by helping with reading, math or writing! You can tutor one student at a time, a small group of students, or assist in a classroom. Tutors can work with students during the school day--9 a.m. to 3 p.m.-- or after school with SCORES (combines soccer and literacy skills tutoring) and assisting teachers who are tutoring students in small groups! High school students can also earn community service hours! All adults must complete background checks before working with students.
