I am both excited and honored to be part of this extraordinary Dunlap School community that is committed to ensuring an excellent education for each child.  Our Staff has high expectations for each of our students and is dedicated to preparing every student for success in life, as well as school.

Each year, we open a new chapter and partnership of teaching and learning and look forward to meeting student and families with much anticipation and happy expectation.

As Dunlap’s Principal, my support for each school community member is something that I take very seriously. I know that a collaborative partnership is built upon trust, hard work and open and honest communication.

I work under the philosophy that students are at the center of our work - at all times.  I truly believe that much of a school’s success is measured by the degree to which individuals feel respected, valued, loved, and celebrated. I believe that staff, families, and community, are the essential ingredients to make that success happen in motivating students to greatness.

I love being a school principal and I bring the energy, enthusiasm of my experience as a principal, assistant principal, literacy/instructional coach, teacher mentor and classroom teacher in ensuring equity and excellence for every student, every day, in every classroom.

When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with family, reading, quilting, exercising, listening to music, painting ceiling murals and staying current with best practices in education.
